Over the years we have worked at planting native trees and shrubs, including a collection of harakeke.These plants aid in preventing erosion, they shade the water and they help to encourage bird life. Understanding the ecosystem and the interconnections is a fundamental part of the learning, but also important is the building of connections with other students, with the council and with other community members.
